Worth a visit
!
The
cultural/historic patrimony of Bruges gives the city a European and international
dimension. The Bruges monuments, museums and particularly the
unspoiled historic cityscape attracts millions of visitors every year. As a
result Bruges received the symbolic title of European Capital of Culture in 2002.
Explore the city
from north to south. Some thematically guided tours could be very helpful
and we highly recommend them :

All restaurants in Bruges have an
excellent reputation. So you should consider a
gastronomical exploration and we can always recommend a few
places.
Although you can
spend several days strolling around Bruges, it is also a base from
which to visit nearby Flemish cities of art: Ghent (45 km), Antwerp (105 km)
and Brussels (95 km). All these places are no more than an hour from Bruges,
either by train or by car. Nearer to the city, the coast and various other
locations in West-Flanders, such as Ostend, Ypres, Damme, De Haan or Knokke-Heist, are also
well worth a visit.
